Radio Suburbia

Radio Suburbia broadcast from SW London on Saturday nights. The first test took place on January 1st 1981 on 90.5 MHz in stereo. After several more broadcasts on various public holiday weekends in the spring, regular Saturday night broadcasts commenced  Initially programmes were pre-recorded however live programming followed.  To begin with the output consisted of an uncomfortable mixture of rock and jazz-funk. The jazz-funk was soon dropped.

Broadcasts ground to a halt early in 1982 only to recommence after a long gap in October. Towards the end of 1982 the frequency was changed to 91.9MHz.

It is thought the station ceased broadcasting in early 1983.
