Radio Nelson broadcast on 201m MW from West London in 1971/72. The station was put off the air following a GPO raid on March 5th 1972. They were broadcasting from 22 Coldershaw Road in West Ealing - an address they used on air for mail. At approximately 1.20pm Eric Gotts, Victor Frisby, Brian Williams and six police officers arrived. The equipment was confiscated as were some letters and paperwork relating to the IFRC - a free radio organisation which used the same address. Apparently the police officers were bewildered as to why they were there - not unusual in pirate radio raids. The Radio Eric archive holds the following recording(s) of this station:
